Br./2024/910 dated 17 November 2024, in view of the severe AQI in Delhi , the school will remain physically closed for students of Classes VI-IX and XI from Monday, 18 November 2024. Please note the following: 1. Online classes will be scheduled for students of classes VI-IX & XI. Time table and links will be shared shortly. 2. Links will be shared on Google Classroom. 3. Olympiad exams for all classes will be rescheduled. 4. Common preboard exams for classes X & XII will be conducted as per the datesheet shared. Buses will ply on regular routes on days of exams. Dear Parent The safety, security and mental well-being of children is crucial for their all-round development. In view of this, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day on 10.10.2024, is organizing a national online workshop for the students of class 6th to 12th, with focus on two key themes: Mental Health and Cyber Security. The workshop will be held online between 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on 10.10.2024. The topics of discussion will include Stress, Anxiety & Depression in youth, identification & prevention, keys laws on online harassment and cybercrimes, managing Privacy on Social Media, cyber bullying, etc. Sh. Rajesh Sagar, leading Professor (MD), Psychiatry Department, AIIMS Delhi and Ms. Rashmi DCP, Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre, MHA will be the Resource person/speaker for the workshop. Dear Parents, Pranam! As informed earlier, the school will be celebrating Teacher's Day on Thursday, 05 September 2024. This day will be observed as a *bagless day*. Students should carry I-Card, lunch, a water bottle and school almanac. Mid-Day meal will be served to the students who have opted for the meal as per routine. Students are advised not to carry any gift items, expensive merchandise, cake, etc. for teachers. This is to reiterate that dispersal will take place as per following schedule: - On Footers & Van Students at 11:50 a.m. - Buses will leave the school premises at 12:00 noon. Dear Students, The rainy season is most conducive for vector borne diseases like Dengue, Chikungunya &Malaria which spread during this time every year. These are all mosquito generated diseases and sometimes gain epidemic proportions if preventive measures are not taken. Prevention is the best method to control any disease. In order to control and prevent the outbreak of Dengue, Chikungunya & Malaria, it is essential to prevent breeding of mosquitoes and you must follow the awareness instructions at home - • To avoid mosquito bites, wear full-sleeved winter school uniform .Use mosquito repellents. Put wire mesh on doors and windows to prevent entry of mosquitoes. • Cover all water tanks and containers with well fitted lids to prevent breeding of mosquitoes. • All overhead and other water tanks / containers are kept properly covered with lid and overflow pipe/ air vent are covered with wire mesh/cloth. In case of missing/broken lids matter may be taken up with PWD on priority. • All coolers should be scrubbed and cleaned once a week and mopped dry before refilling water. In coolers that cannot be emptied, put one tablespoon of Petrol/Diesel. • All unused containers, junk materials, tyres, coconut shells etc. should be properly disposed off. • Change water in flower vases, plant pots, bird pots every week to prevent mosquito breeding. • Cover the toilet seat if going out of home for more than a week. • Use bed nets at home and hospital during dengue fever to prevent mosquito bite and to interrupt transmission. Use aerosol, vaporizers (coils / mats) during day time. • Don’t allow water to stagnate in and around houses. Stay Safe Stay Healthy! Regards SPSMV

Three ways to prevent dengue: • First - Prevent mosquito breeding. • Second – Prevent mosquito bites. • Third – Contact health facility in case of fever. Prevent Dengue mosquito breeding; • Do not keep / throw unused junk like broken utensils, bottles, tins, tyres, coconut shells etc. in the open. • Make Delhi Dengue free, fine can be imposed if mosquito breeding conditions are found at your home, office or nearby.
