Inter-House Mathematics Quiz for Grades III-Vback

Mayor World School witnessed a riveting display of intellect and enthusiasm during the Inter-House Mathematics Quiz for Grades III to V ,organised by the Department of Mathematics on 20th December 2024.This dynamic competition challenged students to showcase their mathematical aptitude, logical reasoning and rapid problem-solving skills while fostering a spirit of collaboration and healthy competition. The quiz was an exhilarating journey through six rounds, starting with Everyday Mathematics to test basic problem-solving skills, followed by Logical Reasoning and Mental Ability for a deeper analytical challenge. The Buzzer Round added a quick-fire thrill, leading into the educational Spell Bee that highlighted spelling proficiency. The unpredictable Mystery Box kept participants on their toes with unexpected tasks, and finally, the Rapid Fire round provided a high-speed conclusion, requiring fast and accurate answers. Overall, each round brought its own unique excitement, making the quiz a dynamic and engaging experience for all involved. Adding an extra layer of excitement, an audience round was also conducted, which proved to be the highlight of the day. The interactive session intrigued and engaged the young audience. The results of the competition were announced based on the cumulative scores from all the rounds. Dickens House, represented by the brilliant team of Aayansh Oberoi( III-A), Viraj Sehgal Grade (IV-C), Saisha Gupta ( V-B), and Kyan Kohli ( V-C), clinched the first prize with an outstanding performance. Keats House followed closely, securing the second position. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of the Principal, Ms. Divya Keni and the Vice Principal, Ms. Charu Trehan. Their inspiring words motivated the students to embrace mathematics in their daily lives, hone their problem-solving skills, and pursue excellence with unwavering determination. The School Management extended heartfelt congratulations to all the participants and winners, commending them for their outstanding efforts and achievements. They extolled the convener, Ms.Aashima Sama ,the Deputy Head, Department of Mathematics for her endeavours and also expressed their deep appreciation for the Department for its exemplary organisation and dedication, which played a crucial role in the event’s success.
