“Four wheels move the body, but two wheels move the soul.” On the morning of 24th November 2024, the vibrant streets of Jalandhar came alive as Mayor World School hosted its highly anticipated cycling event, Cyclotrack-4, themed “Hope, Health, and Happiness”. The event saw an overwhelming participation of 350 enthusiastic riders, representing all ages and backgrounds, united by their passion for cycling and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The six-kilometre cycling route, which traversed the heart of the city, was a spectacle of energy and spirit. Cyclists, including grandparents, parents, students, and staff, set off from the School at 7:00 am, led by the Vice Chairperson Ms. Neerza Mayor, the Principal Ms. Divya Keni, and the Vice Principal Ms. Charu Trehan. Ms. Vani Vij, an esteemed philanthropist and renowned social worker, officially inaugurated the event with a ceremonial flag-off. The ride symbolised a fresh start, infusing positivity, athleticism, and hope for a bright year ahead. The route passed through the picturesque Model Town, where participants showcased remarkable enthusiasm and camaraderie. Among the riders, even the young students of Mayor World School displayed their athletic prowess, completing the course in impressive times. The parents also joined in, demonstrating their zest for an active lifestyle. Throughout the route, the school staff provided unwavering support and encouragement, motivating the cyclists to push their limits. Emergency services, including an ambulance and water stations, were strategically positioned along the route to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. Additionally, an air-filling station was available to assist riders with any technical issues. The School Management extended heartfelt gratitude to all the riders for their spirited participation, which made Cyclotrack-4, a truly grand and memorable event. At the event, special awards were given to acknowledge exceptional participants. Mr.Amarjeet Singh Karwal, aged 80 , received the Senior Most Cyclist award. Viren Mankotia, just 4 years old, was celebrated as the Junior Most Cyclist. Both cyclists demonstrated remarkable passion and commitment. Upon returning to the School, the participants were treated to refreshing snacks to celebrate their achievement. This event was not just a cycling marathon but a celebration of health, community, and the power of collective enthusiasm. Mayor World School continues to inspire and encourage a lifestyle of fitness, positivity, and hope.
