“The art of origami is more than just folding paper; it is a reflection of the beauty and complexity of life.” -Akira Yoshizawa Mayor World School hosted an inspiring Inter School Sahodaya Origami Competition, themed ‘Panch Tattva: Shaping Nature’s Five Elements’ , on 9th November 2024.Centred around the five elements- earth, water, fire, air, and space—the event offered a creative platform for students to explore these fundamental forces through the delicate art of origami. The Principal, Ms.Divya Keni, delivered an inspiring welcome address during the event, setting a tone of enthusiasm and anticipation for the activities ahead. With participation from around thirty-one prestigious schools, the young artists crafted intricate designs that celebrated the beauty of nature’s elements. Their creations were evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges comprising Ms. Divya Mahajan ,the President of Phulkari Women of Jalandhar and Ms. Deepika Oberoi, a celebrated Home Decor Expert and Exhibition Enthusiast. The team from State Public School , comprising Sukhdeep Kaur and Diya Garg , claimed the top honours by securing the first position, with Police DAV Public School earning a commendable second place, and Swami Sant Das Public School finishing strong in third. The School Management extended heartfelt congratulations to the winners and their mentors, acknowledging their exceptional talent and dedication. The event’s convener Ms. Sharanjit Kaur was also commended for her efforts in making this celebration of art and nature , a memorable success.
