CLASS – X & XII (2024-25)

Dear Parents,

This is to inform you that the Pre-Board Examinations for Classes X and XII, scheduled for 20^th and 22^nd November 2024, have been postponed due to the high AQI levels in Delhi. The revised dates for these examinations will be shared with you soon.

To ensure continuity in academic preparation, online classes will be conducted for Classes X and XII from 20^th November to 23^rd November 2024. These classes will focus on revising the Pre-Board Examination syllabus.

Dear Parents,

As per DOE circular no. PS/DE/2024/940, dated 17th November 2024, online classes will now be conducted for Nursery to IX AND XI classes until further notice due to poor air quality in the surroundings. Periodic tests for all classes will also be postponed until further notice.

However, the Pre-Board examinations for Classes X and XII will be conducted as per the original schedule.

In light of this, kindly ensure that your ward adheres to the following:

 1. Online Class Schedule: The updated timetable for online classes will be shared through the school application. Please check the e-connect section regularly for updates.

 2. Google Meet: All sessions will be conducted via Google Meet. Ensure that your child has access to a stable internet connection and a quiet space for attending classes.

 3. Attendance: Attendance will be marked daily for each class.

 4. Class Preparation: Students must have their books, notebooks, and required materials ready before every session.

 5. Participation: Encourage your child to actively engage in the sessions by asking questions and participating in discussions.

 6. Assignments: All assignments, if given, must be submitted electronically. Assistance may be provided to your child if required for uploading work.

 7. Health Precautions: While indoors, keep the air clean by using air purifiers (if available) and staying hydrated.

 8. Stay Active: Encourage your child to take short breaks and engage in light physical activities indoors to remain active.

The Government of India has declared August 23^rd of every year as ‘National Space Day’ to commemorate the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, which accomplished the safe and soft landing of Vikram lander at ‘Shiv Shakti’ point and the deployment of Pragyaan Rover on the lunar surface on 23^rd August, 2024. The declaration of National Space Day has also been published in the Gazette of India.

Being the maiden National Space Day, it is proposed to organize widespread celebrations throughout the country in the month of August 2024. The objective is to engage and inspire the youth of the nation towards space technology and its applications. The proposed theme for the National Space Day 2024 is ‘Touching Lives While Touching the Moon: India’s Space Saga’

In view of above, go through the following activities:

1. Participate actively in the Drawing competition on Chandrayaan-3 to be held on 22^nd August, 2024 for classes VI to XII in Astronomy Lab. Kindly submit your name to the class teacher.

Munshi Premchand, one of the most accomplished men of letters in Hindi, was born on 31st July, 1880. Popularly known as Upanyaas Samrat, he wrote more than a dozen novels, around 300 short stories, several essays and translated many classics in Hindi. His works such as Nirmala, Bade Ghar Ki Beti, and short stories including Idgah, Kafan and Namak ka Daroga, powerfully depict through words the society as it prevailed during his time.

We are pleased to inform you that our school is organising a small exhibition on 31st July based on these short stories by Premchand - Panch Parmeshwar, Idgah, Namak ka Daroga, Poos ki Raat, Do Bailon ki Katha, Gulli danda.

 

ACTIVITIES FOR CLASS VIII TO XII.

The class teachers and language teachers will motivate the students and guide them to participate in one of the following activities:

Quotation Writing: Write any famous quotation by Munshi Premchand in Hindi or English Calligraphy on A3 size sheet.

Poster: Depict a scene from the selected stories in an attractive manner on A3 size sheet.

Diary Entry: Write a diary entry as one of the characters from the given stories in about 200 words in English or Hindi on A4 size sheet.

Dear Parents,

In recent times, the weather conditions have been extreme due to global warming. It is the need of the hour to keep the rooms air conditioned for better work efficiency and productivity. The parents' body has been insistent on getting the rooms air conditioned. Several requests from parents have been received in this regard. The school has installed air conditioners in almost all classes, but some still need it or require more AC units. Therefore, we are planning to introduce fees from the next academic year to cover these expenses.

In order to facilitate the same, the school’s existing electrical infrastructure will have to be upgraded. The installation of extra transformers, electric panels, DG sets, and connected items will have to be enhanced. In addition, air-conditioners for classes will have to be procured and recurring expenses on their maintenance, including electricity charges, will also have to be met.

To commission all these, a nominal fee of RS 250/- per month, per student, will be levied in addition to the regular school fee structure with effect from April 2025.

Parents are hereby informed that the school, in partnership with IIT Madras, is offering Certification Courses for Class XI students. These 8-week certification courses will be available in the following exciting topics:

• Data Science and AI - Open to all Class XI students
• Electronic Systems – Open to Class XI students studying Maths & Physics

Program Details:

• Recorded lecture videos will be released every Monday, each with a duration of 1 hour, which students can watch at their convenience throughout the week.
• Live interactive sessions will be held once per month on Saturday or Sunday.
• Online assignments will be given once every 2 weeks, with a 2-week timeline for submission.
• This 8-week schedule will run from August 5, 2024, to September 23, 2024.

Registration Fee: ₹500 for each course.

Every year on the occasion of Foundation Day, the school provides Lunch & Ice-cream to all the students.

1. We are arranging a feast for Classes Nursery to IV, IX & XI on 09.05.2023 (Thursday).
2. The Feast for Classes V to VIII, X & XII will be on 10.05.2024 (Friday).

So all the students have to attend this auspicious day in School Uniform (with School Bag up to 4^th Period for classes Nur. to IV; Full bag for Classes V to XII.) The students are required to bring their water bottle and spoon each.
