Thank you for considering D Y Patil International School to enroll your child / children.

We offer a broad variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for student to ensure holistic learning. There are many opportunities for students to participate in various community service programmes.

All the necessary forms to apply are included with this guide. Once completed, you need to submit the form with all the necessary documents to our Admission Officers as per the date given to you.

Once we receive your complete application and all the required documents, you would be called for a meeting with your child.

If your child has been selected for admission into one of our programs, you shall be required to pay the fees within 2 days of notification of admission to you by the school admissions office to confirm the seat.

ADMISSIONS

DYPIS seeks to offer educational opportunities to all eligible students who identify with the school's core values.

CLASS PLACEMENT

Placement in Early Years is made on the basis of the student's age as on 30 September. Placement in Primary, Middle and High School grades is based on the student's educational background. Any initial placement is tentative and the school may either advise a change of grade level or class after the student's abilities have been assessed, or in certain circumstances, may withdraw the placement based on a student's needs.

OFFERING ADMISSIONS AT DYPIS

DYPIS views applicants holistically when offering admissions. The Admissions Panel takes into account the profile of the grade applied for and, as directed by Board policy, places students so that diversity and balance within the school is maintained.
Course Offerings (High School only): Offering places in the High School, particularly in Grades 9 to 12, depends on the availability of suitable courses.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The admission process at DYPIS begins with the purchase of the school admission kit. Application to the DYPIS should be made on the official online admissions form, which must be completed and submitted with records from the student's previous school as appropriate. Once submitted, the following procedure would be followed:-

FOR GRADES 9 & 11 ONLY

Stage 1 The students applying for admission into Grade 9 and 11 would be called for a written assessment in English and Math. (Student who plan to take Maths at Higher Level (in Grade 11 (IB) would be required to give a separate paper).

Stage 2 Students who successfully clear the written assessment shall only be called for an interaction with the Admissions Panel.
Based on the written assessment and student meeting (Grade 9 and 11 only), the school admissions office shall only notify those parents whose wards have been granted admission in the school.

PAYMENT

Payment of school fees at DYPIS is collected by the Accounts Office. After you have been notified by the school confirming the admission of your child, you shall be required to make the 1st term fee payment and one time registration fee within 2 working days of notification of admission.

 

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
(i) Payment Methods
By demand draft in favour of 'D Y Patil International School' (Please indicate student's full name and grade on the reverse of the DD).
DYPIS does NOT accept cash payment.
Payment is due within 2 working days of notification of admission to the parent.
Placement of your child / children will be guaranteed upon receipt of full payment of school fees. If no payment is received by the due date, placement of your child/ children will be released to wait-listed students.

(ii) Withdrawals and Refunds Policy

Fees once paid shall not be refunded or transferred under any circumstances.
If child wishes to withdraw admission from the school, the parent shall be required to give one term advance notice to the school in writing, failing which the next term's fee would be charged in lieu of notice.

(iii) Confirmation of Placement

Placement of your child / children will be guaranteed upon receipt of full payment of school fees (i.e. first term academic fee and registration fee). If no payment is received by the due date, the seat will be released to the wait-listed candidate/s.

(iv) The fee schedule is subject to change from time - to - time at the discretion of DYPIS Management.

(v) Removal and Expulsion of a Student

Removal at the request of the school: Parents may be required, during or at the end of a term, to remove the student, without refund of fees, temporarily or permanently from the school if, after consultation with the parent, the Head is of the opinion that the conduct or progress of the student has been unsatisfactory or if the student, in the judgment of the Head is unwilling or unable to benefit from the educational opportunities offered and in any such case the Head has the discretion to decide on the removal of the student.
Expulsion: A student may be expelled at any time if the Head consider (at their absolute discretion) that the student's conduct (whether on or off school premises) has been prejudicial to good order or school discipline or to the reputation of the school. There will be no refund of fees following expulsion (and all unpaid fees must be paid). In no circumstances shall the school or its staff be required to divulge to parents or others any confidential information, or the identities of students or others who have given information which has led to suspension or expulsion.

(vi) D Y Patil International School, has put in place policies and regulations necessary for the effective functioning of the school. The school reserves the right to amend its policies and regulations wherever and whenever considered necessary and appropriate. Therefore, this publication and the descriptions contained herein are not to be construed as a contract binding on DYPIS to any specific policies. The information given in the brochure and application material is an indication of DYPIS's plans on the date of publication of this document. The submission of an application form for admission does not guarantee admission.
